This Privacy Policy describes how REEL9 ("we", "us") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our AI shorts generation service.
AI-generated content
REEL9 uses artificial intelligence to generate images, videos, voiceovers, and captions from the scripts and prompts you provide. AI output can be inaccurate, unexpected, or unintentionally resemble existing works — you are responsible for reviewing generated content before publishing or sharing it.
Data we collect
- Email, name, and authentication identifiers via Google or Apple sign-in
- Video scripts and generation preferences you provide
- Payment information (processed by RevenueCat — we do not store card data)
- Usage analytics (feature usage, video count)
We collect only the data listed above. We do not access your camera roll, contacts, or microphone, and we do not track you across other apps or websites.
How we use your data
- To provide and operate the REEL9 service
- To improve our AI models and features
- To send service updates and promotions (opt-out available)
- We never sell your data to third parties
Third-party services
To generate your videos, your script and prompts are sent to the following AI providers, each governed by their own privacy policy:
- OpenAI — script understanding and image generation
- Anthropic — script understanding and content generation
- ElevenLabs — AI voiceover synthesis
- RevenueCat — subscription and payment processing
- Google and Apple — authentication (sign-in)
Retention
- Account data: retained until you delete your account
- Generated videos: stored 24 hours (free tier), 7 days (paid tier), then deleted
- Backups may retain data for up to 90 days
Data deletion
You can permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time:
- In-app: Settings → Account → Delete Account
- On the web: visit reel9.app/delete-account
- By email: send a deletion request to fundipdeveloper@gmail.com from your account address
Deletion removes your profile, scripts, and generated videos within 30 days. Residual copies may remain in encrypted backups for up to 90 days before being purged.
